Medical Clinic Update

July 08, 2024

The Nikea MMT (Medical Mission Team) Medical Center has  now been up and fully functioning since June of 2023. It serves our students and staff at Point of Grace Academy, and the surrounding community of Ogal Beach. It is fully staffed with the equivalent of a physician assistant, a nurse, lab technician, health administrator and a receptionist. Each of them plays a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the clinic, and they  all have helped host Medical Mission Teams from the U.S. to assist them in giving free care to the students, staff and  surrounding community.

Keeping our students healthy helps further their education, and providing care for those in the community helps those  who care for our students daily in their home. The clinic is currently working with the government to provide vaccines, and they have recently been discussing options for insurance  for the students. The clinic and staff are also looking at growth and support for the future. What a blessing this is — God is  good and His timing will be perfect.

We are blessed to have Mercy Medical Mission Teams led by Scarlet and Joel Holcombe make multiple visits each year.  They provide community medical clinics and bring with them much need-ed medicines — along with pharmacy students who extend their stay and work with clinicians as part of their college education.
